What added extras are in your food?

Do you actually know what ingredients are in the products you consume? Research states Australians are consuming almost double the amount of salt recommended by the World Health Organisation. This is mainly due to consumers being unaware of the hidden additives they are putting in their bodies. This became apparent to Mingle Seasoning’s founder, Jordyn Evans when she threw out 90% of her pantry from discovering hidden nasties in her products.

Many foods contain additives which are substances to maintain or improve the safety, freshness, taste, texture, or appearance. Whilst many of us know additives are bad for us, we still consume them without a second thought.

Mingle Seasoning are shaking things up by using only honest, natural ingredients within their seasoning blends to promote an overall healthy wellbeing. Mingle’s seven various blends, of Garlic and Herb through to Coconut and Cacao make bland foods, grand creations, also giving people the confidence to get in the kitchen.

“I have created a range of seasonings that have no nasties and make cooking tasty, convenient, healthy and inspiring” says Evans.

Research suggests that healthy food choices not only have physical but also mental health benefits such as: increased happiness and life satisfaction, being a long-term investment in future wellbeing. As all aspects of our wellbeing are connected, each factor is impacted by what we consume. By simply recognising what is in our foods and changing the way we prepare meals, we can positively impact our overall health.

Mingle Seasoning is available at selected Coles Supermarkets, individual retailers & online:
